Air Traffic Controllers at MySpace

Can't Stop The Bleeding -
What would happen if Vinnie from Queens' telephone broke and he had to resort to a blog, instead? Fuck, that sounds horrible! Never mind. Opinions about sports are like unwanted children, everybody has a few. Except for the author of this site (and that site) --- he's got more than a few (opinions, not kids).

Electrical Audio - Chicago based recording studios run by sweet, sweet people. And their cat. You're probably saying to yourself, "why does anyone need to record real live performances on magnetic tape when there are so many, smaller and cheaper ways to do so using digital media." The people at this studio can give you a far more eloquent answer than I can, but that's ok...I can't tell the difference, either. Of course, I'm totally fucking deaf.

Irritant Records - dang, these folks know what they are doing. Excellent recent titles from Donna Summer, Captain Ahab, Duran Duran Duran, knifehandchop and other things I've not paid for yet.

Kabuki Kore - UK operation featuring limited edition CDR's from a wide range of artisans, some of whom you know, some of whom you don't.

Consonant - Clint Conley (Mission Of Burma)'s newer band and perhaps one day, the one you'll most commonly associate with his name. Unless the Moving Parts reform for big money.

Carpark Records - Marumari, Greg Davis, Signer, Safety Scissors

Orthlong Musork - Kit Clayton, Timeblind

Cock Rock Disco - the many projects of (the other) Donna Summer

Quakebasket
- Tim Barnes' imprint with CD's available from Angus Maclise, Barnes/Glen Kotche, Michael J. Schumacher, On Filmore and others.

Amish Records - PG Six, Dan Brown, Ivanovich, Hall of Fame, Metabolismus, Roads To Space Travel, nyc based imprint that withstands the toxins in the air.

U-Sound Archive
- upcoming projects, live recordings from Tom Greenwood's burgeoning setup, including ltd. edition CDR's from Jackie-O Motherfucker, Tim Barnes, Dylan Nyoukis, Staked Plain, Decaer Pinga and others.

Stereolaffs - so much mystery and majesty to Western Maine. Ever thought about moving?

Father Yod / Glass Eye Books
- Western Massachusetts emporium of quality music and literature. When I lived in that part of the world there were no such outlets. There was a Super Stop & Shop, however.

Rjyan.com - the wit and wisdom of the entertainer we know as Cex.

Mission Of Burma - loads of photos of the recent reunion gigs, plus Eric Van with very elaborate answers to much shorter questions.

Ipecac Recordings - with a roster including Kid 606, Sensational, the Melvins and the Kids Of Widney High, this link is highly justified, even if everything else on the label totally sucks.

Sonic Youth - an overwhelming treasure trove of music, video, text and visual zippidity zappidity, they took their time putting this official site together and it really shows.

Chuck Zito - do not, I repeat, do not ask Chuck Zito to take off his jacket. Chuck Zito don't take his jacket off for nobody.

Erstwhile - cranium snapping improv heavyweights from around the globe, documented by this New Jersey label. Keith Rowe, Markus Schmickler, Thomas Lehn, Otomo Yoshihide and others.

Guitars By Leo - G&L guitars. All over the world, people are paying tribute to the instruments made famous by, uh, Paige Hamilton.

Dr. Gene Scott - if you're inclined to, y'know, start believing in God, Dr. Gene would be happy to steer you in a direction or 2. Donations accepted.

Don King - only in America.

Susie Ibarra - with apologies to Claire Pannell, Susie Ibarra is to the drums what Ed "Too Tall" Jones was to guys with nicknames.

12XU
- new London based imprint handling European exploitation of Spoon, The Speaking Canaries, Joel RL Phelps & The Downer Trio, Chris Brokaw, Sally Crewe and The Sudden Moves and Silkworm. May or may not be run by the "brains" or "money" behind Parallelism, no one will give us a straight answer. Always keeping the web dept. in the fucking dark.

Planet Mu - Mike Paradinas, Jega, Capitol K, Leafcutter John, Kid Spatula and some nice behind-the-scenes commentary on the message board.

Basic Channel / Hardwax - mail order

Revenant -

Swim

Jim Goad - how can mere words on paper actually hurt anyone? (answer : when they aren't on paper anymore!) (link updated, 27 July 2003)

Tom Zenk - the self-proclaimed "watchdog" of wrestling, but you don't have to own a watch, a dog, or even give a flying fook about wrestling to enjoy Tom's wisdom. It would help immeasurably, though.

Tension Headache - more news & background on anti:clockwise, Tono-Bungay and affiliated artists.

Anticon - snapping all definitions of hip hop in half.

Comatonse
- label/studio/web operations of Terre Thaemlitz, the smartest Gary Numan fan in the state of Colorado.

Raster-Noton - Cartsten Nicolai, Kim Cascone (ex-Poison Gas Research), Goem, and last year's monumental series of cd's held together by tiny magnets.

Hopscotch - Susie Ibarra, not merely content with being the planet's finest drummer, now graces the world with an excellent label as well.

Tigerbeat 6 - Kid 606's recording co., issuing material by himself, DAT Politics, Cex, Electric Company (Brad Lainer) and others.
